Returning to Africa!

Hi to Everyone Following Our Blog!
A little over a year ago, we made the long journey to Ethiopia to pick up Ada! We immediately fell in love with the country of Ethiopia as well as the people. Returning to the states was a blessing, especially with such a precious little girl, but we both have felt like there is still something there for us to do. We are still needed in Africa for something, though we did not know what that was. So since our return, we have both tried to come up with ways that we could make a difference there and help both the children and the adults of Ethiopia. We have come up with various ideas, but none that were outstanding. That was until we were presented with an opportunity to return! We instantly said YES! And just like that, planning for a return trip has begun! LeeAnn was in touch with a family that was part of an organization that aims to help children and widows of Ethiopia. They have received grant money to build an orphanage and the staff needs training, so a group of people from the US are planning on making the journey over the holidays of this year to help. Part of that group will be both of us and our dad, Ron. We are overjoyed with this opportunity and can not wait to leave! We will keep everyone up to date on all of our latest plans and updates on the upcoming trip!
May God Bless all of you!

  1. Sam and LeeAnn, you both are amazing people with two of the biggest hearts ever!! Your unselfish love and hope are contagious. You inspire me to find ways to reach out to the less fortunate people in this world. I will do whatever I can to help you with this trip - just let me know!! I love you both and miss you terribly!! God has given you both wonderful talents - reaching out and making a difference. I will be praying for you and your trip.
